The North Lakhimpur Development Authority is committed to fostering better planning and development across the city to ensure sustainable growth and enhanced urban living standards. The authority undertakes comprehensive tasks, including the preparation and implementation of Regional Plans that guide the long-term spatial and infrastructural development of the area. It also creates Master Plans that provide a detailed blueprint for land use, transportation, and public services, ensuring well-coordinated urban growth.
The authority is also responsible for New Township Plans and Improvement Schemes, aimed at expanding the city in an organized manner while upgrading existing infrastructure. This promotes efficient land use, equitable distribution of resources, and the establishment of essential facilities. In addition, the authority actively promotes Urban Development through partnerships with various stakeholders, including companies, associations, and other entities, to carry out diverse urban development schemes.
